IDEA CHALLENGE

Competition of ideas, in response to a relevant theme.

• You will be challenged to create an innovative solution to an issue relating to architecture, creativity and design, applying the Design Thinking methodology.

• Your idea will be evaluated by experts in different disciplines and will be published on all platforms of Pertanto, the educational platform of the New York City Architecture Biennial.

• Our course prepares you to participate in this activity, individually or in groups of three, in which you will be able to present your knowledge, skills and experience, allowing you to deliver a well-developed proposal within a framework of requirements.

• The Idea Challenge is an opportunity to bee seen and heard by professionals and the New York Architecture Biennial.

Frequently Asked Questions

We are seeking young talents to offer them the opportunity to promote their ideas on platforms of the New York Architecture Biennial, benefiting from the perspectives and endorsement of experts on their proposals.

The Idea Challenge has a delivery period of approximately two months, starting from the date of opening for registrations. The earlier you register, the more time you will have to develop your idea.

The Idea Challenge includes Community Gatherings with members of the jury and experts. They aim to provide support to clarify doubts, serve as a source of assistance, and provide references related to the topic. The Idea Challenge also includes a certificate for the winner and an honorable mention.

In the Idea Challenge, the winner of the competition is awarded a certificate endorsed by the New York Architecture Biennial, as well as a certificate of Honorable Mention.

The participation cost for the Idea Challenge is $35.00 for a registration of up to three people.

The Idea Challenge has several deliverables in its final presentation, which may vary in each one:

–              Two to four tabloid-sized sheets showing the analysis in the project.

–              Video/Model representing the process or solution to the problem of the topic.

–              Complete template of the Pertanto methodology used for the project’s design process (Optional, but positively impactful when evaluating).
