Ghigo DiTommaso is a Principal at Gehl, where he leads master plans, public life studies, and urban prototyping projects in North, Central, and South America.
Formed as an architect and urban designer in Florence, DiTommaso practiced, researched, and taught in Barcelona for several years before moving to San Francisco and joining Rebar Art & Design Studio in 2012.
He has been a member of Gehl San Francisco since its founding, he is also affiliated with the UC Berkeley School of Environmental Design, where he has been teaching Urban Innovation since 2014, and also coordinates the Adaptive Metropolis Alliance.
DiTommaso has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Facoltà di Architettura di Firenze, a Master’s in Arch. Sciences and a PhD from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona. He is an architect licensed in Italy and Spain.
